January Subsequent Choices Group

WHEN: January 6, from 7-9 PM.

WHERE: Owl and Raven, 2 Conz Street, Unit 42, Northampton

Owl and Raven is a cozy community space in downtown Northampton, located in the Maplewood Shops. Look for the entrance in the far left corner of the shops, down the stairs next to Chameleons Salon. (Park in any of the public Maplewood Shop lot spaces: The meters stop running after 6pm, so you don't need to feed them.)

WHO: Any families who want to participate in a conversation about pregnancy or adoption following a loss at any gestation. We try not to cover this topic extensively in our bereavement meetings out of respect to those who may not be ready to discuss another baby. If you are contemplating pregnancy, trying to conceive, beginning the adoption process, or pregnant and craving support, we welcome you to participate. PLEASE NOTE: There likely will be pregnant women in attendance at this meeting.

WHAT: Subsequent Choices meetings address the ways in which grief affects the journey towards another baby. Fear and hope coexist daily. One feels “different” from other parents anticipating a little one. In these meetings we explore where we stand: on pregnancy, on hope, on grief, on fear, on anticipation.
