Aviva Rabins (She/Her)
Bereaved Parent / Miscarriage & Early Pregnancy Loss Support Group Facilitator
1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.
I first became involved in Empty Arms in 2023 after experiencing 2 pregnancy losses within 3 months (my 3rd and 4th loss overall). I began by attending the Miscarriage and Early Pregnancy Loss group, followed by the Trying for Another Baby group, and finally the Expecting Your Next Baby group.
2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?
Empty Arms is a special place because, despite any amount of empathy, support, and love from friends, family, and loved ones in one's life, no one truly understands the experience of loss and all its sequelae than those that have been through it. Even with all of our varied backgrounds, beliefs, and life paths, there is an unspoken connection amongst those of us in this club that none of us want, but most of us need.
3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.
I am a parent and a Registered Nurse, and was formerly a clinical herbalist. My passions are my kids, plants, and community.
Aviva is located in Shutesbury, MA.
