Peer Support
Losing a baby is a devastating experience, and our hearts go out to you in this incredibly painful time. While we believe in the benefits of attending support groups, we understand that they are not for everyone. If you would prefer to connect with an Empty Arms support staff member in a one-to-one format, please explore our offerings below. We are here for you!
Sometimes it can helpful to talk with another person about the way you are feeling, especially if they have been through similar struggles. If you would like to speak with someone about your experience but are not ready to join a larger support group setting, we encourage you to reach out.
Our Fellow Parent Program pairs volunteer parents with newly bereaved families to offer support by text, email, or phone. Once matched, you and your fellow parent can decide together what type of communication feels most helpful, including meeting in person if that feels right for both of you.
They will check in with you regularly over the next few months and help you feel a sense of belonging within the Empty Arms community.
To be matched with a Fellow Parent, please fill out this form and select “I would like someone to be connected with someone who has also experienced a pregnancy or infant loss”.

If you are currently in a Western Massachusetts hospital and wish to be accompanied by a member of our Peer Companion team text us at 413-570-0811 with the message…
“NEED COMPANION”
When we receive this message, we will match you with an Empty Arms Peer Companion, who can help you think through options and decisions from the perspective of a parent who has been through a stillbirth.
