Upcoming Support Groups and Events

We offer ongoing support groups for a variety of loss circumstances, all of which meet monthly. Currently all of our support groups meet virtually using the Zoom platform. Click through the calendar to see upcoming meetings and events for our community.

We know support groups are not for everyone. Visit our Individual Support page to learn about other ways we may be able to support you.

Not local to Massachusetts? Our TFMR Support groups, our LGBTQ+ Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Groups and our BIPOC Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Groups are the only support groups that include nation-wide participants. Our focus is on building actual, lived community in Western Mass, so we try to keep our groups Massachusetts-populated. We encourage you to visit the National Share Organization to look for your own local community-based support, or find an organization that is intended to be for a national audience.

MA Center for Unexpected Infant & Child Death Annual Walk to Remember

The Massachusetts Center for Unexpected Infant and Child Death at Boston Medical Center invites you to join them on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus, Massachusetts for their Annual Walk to Remember to support and join communities statewide who have been affected by infant, child and prenatal loss.

Check-in begins at 10:00 AM at the Visitor’s Center.  Following brief remarks at 10:30 AM, a 2-mile walk will commence on Breakheart’s tranquil Inner Loop, with a midway stop at the Lower Pond beach for a name recitation, poem reading, and a flower and bubble release.  The Inner Loop is a paved trail and mostly flat with some minor inclines—conducive to strollers, bikes/scooters, and wheelchairs.  This event is child and pet friendly—there are picnic tables throughout, as well as a playground and dog park along the way.  Parking is free. On-site spots may be limited, but follow signage for additional parking at an adjacent shopping plaza. Beverages and snacks will be available.

Advanced registration is completely optional and available at www.magriefcenter.org. Pre-registering helps us contact you in the event of any changes (weather, etc.) made to our walk. Even if you pre-register, you are not obligated to attend the event.

This is a free event, though donations are welcome to support the Center’s mission of caring for families. For more information, or last-minute updates, please visit www.magriefcenter.org.
