1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.
In 2023, I became pregnant with my second son after 2 rounds of IVF. Everything was going along smoothly until our 20 week anatomy scan, where a rare fetal anomaly was discovered in his brain.. After a brutal few weeks, we made the decision to terminate the pregnancy, and it was devastating. A coworker told me about Empty Arms and I attended the TFMR support group, along with a few others as my situation changed.
2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?
I like that Empty Arms is a place where parents can speak about their losses without worrying that they will upset or scare anyone. Some losses feel so stigmatized, and it is so important that there are places where people can speak freely and not worry about managing other people's feelings.
3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.
Outside of EABS, I love to play with my two kids, read, run and travel all over New England.
