Patricia Wasiolek (She/Her)
Bereaved Parent / TFMR Next Steps Support Group Facilitator
1) Describe briefly how you got involved with Empty Arms.
I first connected with Empty Arms in early 2022 after experiencing a devastating TFMR loss. Not knowing where to turn after such an isolating and heartbreaking experience, the support and compassion I received from EABS during one of the most difficult times in my life inspired me to become involved. What began as seeking support eventually grew into a desire to give back to the community that helped me heal. Today, I am honored to serve as the Eastern Massachusetts Hub Committee Chair, peer facilitate support groups, and support other bereaved families through the Fellow Parent Program.
2) What makes you most proud of the work we do/What do you like most about Empty Arms?
What I love most about Empty Arms is the community. The friendships I have made through EABS are unlike any other. These parents pulled up a chair, and they never left. Whether we're remembering our babies, supporting newly bereaved families, or simply doing life together, we've built a community that continues to show up for one another—and that's what makes Empty Arms so meaningful.
3) Share a passion in your life and/or work outside of EABS.
Outside of EABS, I enjoy baking and am always on a mission to perfect the ultimate chocolate chip cookie. Thankfully, I have no shortage of eager taste-testers who are more than willing to sample each new batch!
Patricia is located on the South Shore of MA.
